Another of John and Adrien’s inane conversations lead to a discussion of the word Mercurial (meaning swiftly changing).  I assumed it was from the Roman Messanger God, who flew quickly with the aid of his winged sandals, John figured it was based on the fluidity of ‘QUICK SILVER’ (the element).  With the aid of this Etymology Dictionary: we discovered we were both wrong.  For those interested it refers to the PLANET mercury, and those born under it.
