Plagiarism detection tool… DocCop

Posted on April 1, 2011 by

Doccop is a free service that allows you to paste an entire piece of writing which will be broken into phrases and then it conducts simultaneous searches in Google for each of them. After conducting the searches it will send you a summary email of your document and where pieces of it may have been plagiarized. Using the links provided you can examine the original sources and compare them to the student work. You can also directly compare two files for collusion and plagiarism. Doccop does not search Google Books or research databases.
