Webinar Overview:

Educators at Passaic City Public Schools in New Jersey are not only using Google for Education tools to raise achievement and better prepare students for college or a career; they’re also using Google Chromebooks to prepare for the new generation of online assessments. The 13,700-student district plans to expand to a 1-to-1 program by the 2014-15 school year, becoming one of the largest education deployments of Chromebooks in the country.

Chromebooks have been approved by PARCC and the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium for use with online Common Core assessments. Passaic City’s Jason Smith and Google for Education’s Stephen Fang will discuss how to use Chromebooks as a secure, locked-down device for online testing, as well as the impact that Google tools can have on teaching and learning.

In this webinar, participants will learn:

    • The unique benefits, features, and tools of Google for Education.
    • Why Passaic City Public Schools chose Google Chromebooks and Apps for Education as its platform for collaborative learning and innovation.
    • How to use Google Chromebooks as secure devices for next-generation online assessments.
